Who We Are
MISSION: To inspire young leaders and students, to proactively advocate and enhance local volunteerism to better the livelihood of those in the community.
The United Way Student Board is a campus-based community change organization, led by students, that addresses critical Education, Health, and Financial Stability issues in the community. The Student Board brings insight on campaigning, community awareness, and gives students in Hernando County the opportunity to develop leadership skills.
What We Do
The United Way Student Board engages in local volunteer opportunities and hosts monthly meetings at the United Way office. The Student Board records their own meeting minutes, works with a budget, and fundraises dollars to address and tackle mission focused issues within the community.
All hours recorded through United Way are eligible community service hours for scholarships.
