Do you love animals, but only want a short-term commitment? Then this opportunity is the perfect fit for you! We need volunteers to take animals into their home on a temporary basis for the following reasons:
- Puppies and kittens too young to be adopted who need a place to grow and feel safe.
- Medical cases where an animal needs time to recover or a place to stay until they are altered.
- Socialization-- some of the animals we receive do not understand how to be a pet. They have fought their entire life and only know starvation or harmful interactions with humans. Fostering allows the animal to feel safe and loved until they find their forever home.
- Shelter break-- when an animal has been at the shelter for so long that they are stressed and need time to decompress.
